Piano Visual Player - Light 1.0

This application presents a unique approach to visualizing MIDI piano performance data through captivating 3D graphics. Users are immersed in a virtual space where light descends delicately, mimicking the experience of a grand piano performance. The application creatively represents the sound intensity, alongside the actions of the sustain pedal, which enhances the sensation of witnessing a live performance.

For those familiar with video editing software, there is an opportunity to produce visually stunning videos featuring user-generated piano MIDI files, similar to the promotional content displayed within the app.

1. Functions

The application offers two primary modes:

1. Piano Play Expression Mode: This mode showcases the pinnacle of the application—a beautifully synchronized 3D piano roll expression correlating with MIDI files and sound source files (non-MIDI).
2. User Piano Performance Mode: Users can transfer their MIDI files (.mid format) via iTunes file sharing (up to four files) to enable direct playback. Please note that the internal MIDI sound may lack richness; however, it is possible to create visually appealing videos as described in section 3.

2. How to Use the App

• Upon launching, an elegant piano performance begins automatically.
• Tapping the center of the screen reveals a menu with various options.

Users can adjust viewpoint modes as follows:

1. Dynamic perspective around the piano (user-adjustable location)
2. Camera movement along the keyboard
3. Piano roll mode display

• Background weather effects can be toggled.
• The arrangement of background images is adjustable.
• Select and play one of ten available pieces from Chair House's music collection.
• Navigating between songs or stopping playback is straightforward.
• An automatic play feature cycles through all ten songs sequentially.

3. Creating Final Videos Using User-Created Piano MIDI Files

Preparation:

• A MIDI file (.mid format) for piano performance, adhering to specific naming conventions (limited to letters and numbers).
• The corresponding sound source file generated from that MIDI composition.
• A video editing software facilitates final production.
• Screen capture software for iPhone or iPad is necessary for recording.

Process:

1. Play the external MIDI file within the application and capture the screen operation for your movie creation. For Mac users, this can be accomplished via QuickTime when connected with an iPhone.
2. Edit the captured video, merging it with the final sound source file using your chosen video software (adjust starting times as needed). Remember to remove any unnecessary audio from the captured video.
3. Export your completed movie project to finalize it.

4. Introduction to Chair House Music

A selection of ten tracks from Chair House's "Piano Ten Thousand Leaves" project has been included. The artist's ambition is to produce a total of 4536 compositions, with approximately 2000 tracks currently available:
